Another one of those "day-in-the-life" snapshot questionnaires...

1. Make a list of things you can see without getting up:
My desktop computer (a "inverted rice-bowl" iMac), an empty drinking glass, a pair of cheap earphones, bits and kibble on my desk including the Japanese text for next semester and my electronic dictionary for the same language.

2. How do you style your hair?
Bra-strap-length and trying to treat the ends gently, so mostly I wear it up; for aikido that means a corona braid, which might stay in as long as three days.

3. What are you wearing now?
White velour trousers, dark grey fitted turtle neck, a vest with a colorful astronomical motief, bright pink socks with "Space Hopper" and a silly BEM, house slippers.

4. Do you have some sort of secret superpower?
I'll steal an answer, "If I told you, it wouldn't be secret." Also,... I'd suspect my secret superpower has to do with enthusiasm.

5. What's the last thing you read/are currently reading?
Recently read: The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker, A Year in Japan by Kate T. Williamson

6. Do you nap a lot?
Yes. It's been my habit for years, when circumstances have permitted. If not nap, then a quiet moment, being fallow and not allowing extraneous stimulation (i.e. no tv or radio or even other music) to intrude.

7. Who was the last person you hugged?
Mr Sweetie Ooops, inadvertent lie - hugged a local friend who came over to pick up some books we have for her.

8. What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Japanese

9. What was the last thing you cooked/baked?
I combined a leftover hamburger bean dish from Mr Sweetie with my own corn-meal dumplings.

10. What was the last thing you ate today?
A cookie. Waiting for the right time for lunch.

11. What was the last thing you said aloud?
"Sterkte!" ("Strength" - said to Mr Sweetie as he'd phoned to let me know he'd be home a bit late.)

12. What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Here, my school's websites, a few favorite weblogs.

13. Last thing you bought:
A good Belgian beer and a package of paprika potato chips.

14. What are you listening to right now?
Hearing, not listening, to the fan in the chassis of my iMac.

15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
By and large, they don't stick. At least, not for long - I don't have much patience with my head-music stuck where I don't like it (if it's stuck, by definition it's not something I want occupying my head).

16. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Not saying.

17. What is your favorite weather, and why?
I enjoy the cold, and especially snow - but I've been away from places where that's a regular feature for a long, long time.

18. How are you?
Good. If a wee bit peckish.

19. What's something you'd like someone to say to you right now?
"Honey, I'm home!" but only from the correct person. *wink*

20. Say something to the person who tagged you.
Since I tagged myself, what I say to that person will have to remain a mystery to the reader. >;) That said, I will mention this list is thanks to swampfaye and slyfoot.

Other stuff: my best wishes go to a friend who's going in for eye surgery today - he's pretty cool about it all, but I'm figuring good wishes are never, ever wasted.
